The End of an Era and the City

Well today marked the end of an Era as Kate had her last day at Primary School. She leaves ahead of many of her friends to start high school a year early at Year Seven.

We set off by train into the city tonight for a wander around and some dinner.

The train was quiet on the way into the city at 6pm
Kate with her 'treat' nails!
The wind was a bit cool tonight so we were glad we took jumpers along

The girls opted for Subway for tea after they saw APAN (Australian Performing Arts Network) were performing and it was close-by. They were super excited when they recognised familiar faces from their dance school were involved.

A funny looking Father Christmas arrived too!

The lovely young lady in the maroon top was Kates hip hop teacher this year. She's about to move to the UK in a few days time to extend her dancing career,
We then shopped at City Beach where the girls chose a new sunhat each

We stopped to chat to the camels who were there for the play

We then had a wander around, looking at the decorations. They had some wonderful huge cards that the girls loved. They played great Christmas messages. We bought hot chocolates, watched a bit more dancing (this time they were in costume) and caught the train back home. It was a great evening out!

Christmas & Birthday Shopping

With us all being home yesterday due to being unwell, by lunchtime today the girls wanted to get out. I wanted to go to the river but they wanted to go shopping. Two against one, so off to the shops we went with most of Perth I think!

We decided to get lunch when we arrived. Kate and I shared a wrap and Ella chose a hotdog and milkshake. Kate also had a mango smoothie. I had what was left.

We wandered around for a bit taking in all the pretty Christmas decorations, before heading to Myer where the girls chose their annual new decoration for the tree.

Ella then wanted to look at the toys and found this cute puppy that bounced around! Kate likes to look at makeup now!

Kate wanted to visit her most favourite shop in the World. Smiggle.

Ella is most happy looking at clothes and pyjamas!

Last but not least Kate wanted to check out which phone she would like, one day!

We finished off getting Ruby a few bits and pieces for her upcoming birthday and a few groceries. Nice to get out of the house, but the shops were so busy we came home exhausted!

Year Six Social

From left: Jarrad, Kade, Sage, Drazik, Mark, Caitlyn, Kate, Clare, Anthea, Nikita, Kayla, Aleisha, Justine.

Kate had her Year Six social tonight which we didn't know whether she would make it to in the end as she had been vomiting the night before. She had chosen a lovely new dress so it would have been a great shame if she couldn't wear it. But after a day off school resting she was okay to go. We arrived early so got a group photo with some that were already there. Love all the pretty dresses!

I can't believe Kate will be at high school next year!

Kates Christmas Wishlist

Kate still loves a few toys too, at 11 years old! My girls still play alot together, and have a lot of common interests, so often have the same lists. Kate has also been wanting an American girl Doll all year. Here is a few things from her list.

American Girl Doll (not sure which one, but this one reminds me of Kate!)

A blue Furby

One Direction (anything!)

Dip Dye Shorts

 Pennyboard (purple!)

A Trip Down Memory Lane

Yesterday while out shopping I spotted these. Aren't they just gorgeous? I remember having a few Ladybird books growing up and loved them!

There were a few others in the store I saw them in, I just love the gorgeous tins!

These would make a great present for the little crafter in your life!

Ella's Christmas Wishlist

Ella still has a firm list of favourites that's been her favourites for the past year. Not much has changed. While she does love technology-type gear, she also still loves to play with toys! I'm not worried even though she is nearly 10, as kids seems to grow up way too fast these days!

Her number one item that has been on her list ALL year that I have desperately tried to talk her out of:

American Girl Doll Julie

A yellow Furby

Spongebob Squarepants (anything!)

 Slushy Magic

Crayola Jewellery Boutique
