December First

The tree is up. New decorations purchased. The cat getting in on the act. Santa hats worn. Christmas music played. Christmas movies watched. It's beginning to feel alot like Christmas!

 I took a few pics of the girls tonight while I was helping in the dressing rooms. I missed a few costumes -Kates slow modern, Ellas ballet (the same as Kates) Rubys slow modern (the same as Ellas) due to quick changes. The girls had fun though, and get to do it all again tomorrow night (and I get to watch!)

Adjusting the routine.

So Tuesdays are essentially my day off. My day off from paid work. It doesn't mean I sit down all day, infact I think I cram so much into Tuesdays, work the rest of the week seems like a breeze. Today at lunchtime, after spending the morning cleaning the house, washing, cleaning the chicken coop and getting ready AGAIN for tomorrow nights concert, I threw my bag in the car and headed out.
Up the hill first to bank a cheque, followed by a few groceries and then a stroll around. It was rather warm but I didn't let that stop me. I needed to recharge my batteries and getting out was important. It was pretty quiet, not many people about at all. After I finished, I took a scenic route home and enjoyed the view.

That Time of the Year!

when it is so busy for everyone. Today I have to sew new ribbons on Kates ballet shoes (Ella's are fine!) and more feathers on their tutu's and sparkly brooches as well. They will look stunning when they are done. The first of the stage rehearsals is tonight. This will be the 7th dance concert for Kate and 6th for Ella. Well I best get the needle and cotton out!

Cooling down

Sunday was hot. 40c odd degree hot. We lazed around all day. The girls' cooled off in the blow up pool, and under the hose. When they grew tired of that, they lay inside in the air con watching movies.
