Rainbow Loom
The girls' have been very busy lately making bracelets, anklets and rings on their rainbow looms. I'm loving all the bright colours, I'm not loving all the loose bands lying around. There are lots of great tutorials on Youtube.

Sleepover!
Ella had 3 friends sleepover last night as part of her birthday celebrations from last month. We went to Bounce Inc first (no photos as I forgot the camera!) then for tea and home for some games. They were all still awake at 3am, so tired little bunnies today!
Ella requested a buffet breakfast. They enjoyed pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, toast with homemade plum jam, fresh fruit, milo and juice!

Cool drinking cups
I bought one of these for myself the other day, and of course the girls' wanted one too! They will be perfect for water (esp on the bedside table) smoothies. Dishwasher safe is also a must in this house! Love them!

Busy Tuesday
lettuces
parsley
mint
tomatoes
corn
Photos curtesy of Kate today of the planting that was happening when she arrived home from school. I planted corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, purple beans, lettuce, more parsley and mint, rosemary. Keeping them safe from the chickens will prove to be a challenge, but I will try.
The chickens have started to pick up the laying pace, it's nice to have more than one or two in the fridge again. Gordon, as always, featured in more than one photo today.

The end of the day
It was a rather hot day here today. I worked. I sweated. I came home early. I took Kate to tap dancing while Phil cooked a yummy dinner. The kids hardly ate a thing. Kate worked on her humanities assignment. Ella stood on her head. I headed outside at the end of the day and took a few snaps. Kate played with her camera she bought yesterday.
I was pleased to see our first sunflower plant pop up. I hope this isn't the only one, I'm hopeful there are more.
Yesterday I repotted the red geranium into this blue pot. It was originally in a hanging basket on the chicken coop, but strong winds blew it down and it broke.
I love looking at the ever changing sky at dusk! It always makes for a pretty picture.
We always have company when we go out the back. Or front for that matter.
The roses have struggled in the heat this summer. I refuse to use any more water on them. If they are tough enough, they will survive. They are not dead yet, just not alot of blooms.
The shutters are letting in the last bit of daylight. Darkness was not far away after this picture was taken.
Kate joined in too :)
