Queensland Floods

We are thinking and praying for all of the Queenslanders affected by the floods.

May the rain ease soon, without further loss of life

Stay dry and safe xx

Another hot day

These two love hanging out together
Today we headed down to visit Amie, Ruby & Jonah. We had bought Jonah a water & sand table for Christmas but when it was opened, found it to be broken. Having gone away Boxing Day, we only just got around to replacing it. He absolutely loved it (we knew he would as he is such a water baby. We also got the kids a clam shell, filling half with water (which will double as a lid) and half with sand.

Jonah wasn't the least bit interested in the sand, but we couldn't keep him out of the water!

Having a ball

Jonah spent ages filling the buckets with the watering can

And then it was time for a slide
The girls lay down to warm up a bit, and so did a naked boy! So funny!

Albany Dec 2010 - Jan 2011

Canoeing down the King River
We packed up the car & trailer and headed down to Albany (5hrs south of Perth) for some rest & relaxation. He stayed in a lovely holiday park where we only saw the girls when they were hungry or tired. They made a group of friends from the first day and they all got on so well. The girls wanted to hang around the camp every single day which was fine by us as we napped, read and chatted to other campers. On the last day we went to Denmark and visited this wonderful animal farm which was very hands on for the girls.

Here are a few pics from the holiday!

Cool fun on the waterslide

Kate loves fishing despite not catching anything

Lining up again at the waterslide

Ella spent lots of time drawing with her new friend Michael

From left: Kate, Ella, Michael, Ella and Lauren. They were pretty inseparable from Day One. This group was made up of 4 different families. Nice to see a boy in there!

The goats were so hungry and funny!

This one loved Kates hair

The girls got to bottle feed a sheep

Nice place to sleep!

Christmas Day

girls playing a game of Hedbanz for kids from the Grandparents

one of their favourite gifts was a junior masterchef set each with an apron & hat

Kate got a much needed new bike and Ella got her old one with a new basket & bell

Definitely a big hit today in 40deg weather was a slip in slide, also from the Grandparents

Playing with the Barbie pool set under the shade

Christmas Day Part Two

The best way to spend a 40 deg afternoon, who cares about clothes?

This photo was actually taken just as Jonah fell on Ruby, but I love it as it looks like he is about to lick her!
Grabbing a drink is a good idea on a scorcher day
