Easter Monday Drive

We jumped in the car after lunch with no particular plans except to have something to eat somewhere and soak up the glorious day!

We headed down to Fremantle, but it was the most packed I had ever seen it, so we didn't hang around too long.

We kept driving as it was too busy for us in Freo, finally stopping at Cottesloe Beach for fish and chips and ice cream!

We stopped briefly at Lake Monga on the way home. Another beautiful day.

Happy Easter

The original day we had planned today had to be changed, so we had a home day instead. Kate was awake at 5am, but we managed to hold off the egg hunt until 7am when the rest of the household woke. Amie, Ruby and Jonah came up and we exchanged eggs, and we got a photo (Phil took the photo) which was nice. I only got a photo of Kate with her loot, then the girls packed their bags and Amie took them home for a sleepover. The rest of us all had a lovely peaceful afternoon siesta, followed by a drive. Phil cooked dinner while my sister and I went for a walk. All in all a great Easter Sunday. I hope yours was too!

Today we visited a little piece of history in the form of the Mundaring Weir. You can read more about it here . The weather was fabulous (30 deg!) and we had a lovely walk. Kate had studied CY O'Connor last year, so it was an interesting outing for her.

We walked across this bridge
A much needed rest on the other side

There were many many steps to different picnic and toilet areas

There are lots of photos of Kate, as Ella stayed down the bottom with the others

The place where the pipeline starts

After, we stopped off at this cool playgrounds so the girls could have a play.

Kate loved these cool sculptures!

The sun was just gorgeous shining through the trees
