Summer!

We went for a walk last night down to the creek. Well it used to be a creek, I think the pictures tell a better story.

Birthday Weekend!

I booked a night away for Phils birthday when we got back from camping. Amie looked after the girls for the night and we stayed at the Crown.

It is a five start hotel with many dining experiences as well as the Casino.

Our room was on the 7th floor, and this was the view outside. The girls would have loved the pool area.

We lounged out by the pool in the afternoon. I found a nice place to read and nap for a bit while Phil went to the Casino.

Later on, Phil had a shower and changed for dinner, I had a bath in the huge tub. So relaxing. We went to the Casino for awhile, and had dinner around 10pm (no photos sorry) and then went back to our room around 11pm.

We woke to another nice day and of course the great view.

Down in the lifts again for an amazing buffet breakfast

Then a much needed walk after breakfast over to the Swan River. There were so many cyclists, I had to be careful they didn't knock me over!

It was a nice mini break away, now back to reality :)

Ella made and decorated the cake all by herself. Kate opted to go to her friends for a sleepover, Ella didn't mind, it meant she could decorate how she wanted.

WE bought Kates summer uniforms today, and everything else she needed to get her started like the school bathers, a school backpack and a PE duffle bag. She likes the change to blue after wearing green and gold for 8 years.
