Yum!

The girls made these delicious cookies today from their cookbook they got for Christmas. They were as delish as they looked. We packed some with us to take to the pools, a perfect treat after a swim.

What movie is your Christmas most like?

Your Christmas is Most Like: A Very Brady Christmas

For you, it's all about sharing times with family.

Even if you all get a bit cheesy at times.

Christmas Lights

We took the three girls out tonight to see some Christmas lights. This house below was amazing. Lots for the kids to sit in and have a photo. A Santa's workshop and a gingerbread house. Bubbles that were chocolate flavour blowing in the wind.
Such a delight!

Kings Park

A visit to Kings Park is always fun for the old and the young. It's was a little windy and cool at lunch but otherwise a lovely afternoon.

Can I go to school today?

The littlest member of the household is the BIG FOUR today! We waited patiently for her to wake this morning, Kate & Ella sitting outside her bedroom door talking rather loudly since 6am. (she didn't wake until 7:30am) Her eyes lit up when she saw the pile of gifts waiting for her to rip open. She asked if she could start school today. Gorgeous.

So this beautiful Princess ....

grew from this precious baby....

Happy Birthday Ruby! Enjoy being four!
We love you xxxx

The Last Day of Being Three!

We let Ruby choose where she wanted to spend her birthday this year (celebrated a day early due to Amie having to work tmrw afternoon) and with a strong influence from Ella & Kate, she chose Scitech which was a new experience for her. And one which she thoroughly loved. She had a ball learning how different things worked. Of course the smaller kids area was the biggest hit.

So proud!

The girls bought their school reports home today so I'll share the teachers comments.

Ella is a very caring and considerate class member. She listens carefully and enjoys telling news and sharing information with the class. She is confident and meticulous in everything she does. Her work is always outstanding. Ella knows all her alphabet sounds and she is beginning to write words. She loves reading, writing and creating beautiful artwork and has made very pleasing progress. Ella plays happily and co-operatively with her friends. Her smile brightens up the class. Ella has been a delight to have in the class.

Kate enjoys a challenge. She is highly motivated and strives to achieve the best results she can. She is an independant worker who requires little or no supervision to complete tasks. Kate's results in all areas have been very good indeed. Congratuations, and good luck in Year Three, Kate.

They've both had a brilliant year, but are now due for a long break. The end of year concert is tonight then the last day of school tomorrow. How fast has this year gone!

A few shots from the park last night ...

Taking a break from the Christmas rush ...

... to enjoy an afternoon outside. Got the kids a new pool today as the last one finally had seen its last day! It was really warm out there, putting it all together was exhausting. I had to keep stopping and standing in the shade. Now I have a headache, but at least the girls had fun!

Back to the madness tomorrow ...

A good spot

I love looking at the tree as I sit here, taking note of which ornament was bought where, what the meaning is behind each one, and who made what. My favourites are so often the ones that the girls have made at Kindy/School - made with lots of love and excitement. The ones that I will always treasure as before we know it they are too old for School and it's all store bought (unless you are creative!)

Ella's Christmas Concert

We trundled off in wet weather tonight to watch the Christmas Concert of the Pre-Primary's!
It was okay once we were inside, just getting from the car was the tricky part.
The kids sang a variety of Christmas Carols, some sang s-l-o-w-l-y, some sang with their heads down, some didn't sing at all and some sang so loud that I wished I had a set of ear plugs. No really, it was wonderful.

Ella was a Christmas tree. She is pictured on the far right. Isn't she beautiful?

After the concert we were invited back to the classroom for their graduation certificates. I can't believe my baby will be in Year One next year. How fast did that go?

Her graduation certificate reads:

We have enjoyed having you in our class because you go about your work so eagerly and confidently. You are always so helpful and caring to all your friends. We love the way you use your imagination to create beautiful art work. We love the way you always try so very hard and produce outstanding work. You love to sing and dance and you play so very happily with your friends especially with Amber on the swings.

I am so proud!
