School Holiday Fun!

We met up with Amie & the kids today at the ice skating arena! It was freezing out near the rink (of course!) I  mostly sat in the warm cafe watching through the window. The kids loved it though. Unfortunately the battery on my camera went flat before I could get a photos of Amie and of all the kids together.

Out the Back!

Bees busy on the lemon tree
Couldn't resist this pretty garden ornament at the local garden centre!
Beetroot, silverbeet, broccoli and snow peas planted!
Wormwood for healthy chickens
More comfrey for the chickens!
The grapevine is growing well although I expect the leaves to start falling off soon!

The End of Term One!

Wow! The last day of school for term One was today. It's been a long 11-week term with a busy time with Kate starting high school. She has adjusted really well and received great marks in her work. Ella has done well too, loving every minute of Year 5. Neither girl has missed a day of school, here's hoping the next term is just as healthy!

We are looking forward to the break from dancing, homework, uniforms and just the everyday routine. We are looking forward to sleep-ins, late breakfasts, friends over and much more!

Releasing some energy before the 45 minute bus ride back to school

I went on Ellas excursion today to the Roundhouse in Fremantle then fish and chips for lunch at a popular restaurant! I'm not going to say much, too tired! It was very hot though (cooler to start with) when we were eating. The sweat was pouring off the poor principals face! You can read more about the roundhouse here
