Sweet Child of Mine

She falls asleep in the most funniest positions. Here she is leaning on the back of the chair supposedly watching telly.

And a few oldies but goodies!

Our treasures

I took the girls up to our local Salvos yesterday, mainly to find some bits and pieces for their dress-up box. We found a few good things - a book and skirt for Kate, a baby doll for Ella, a tupperware container for me (hooray!)

a scarf & gloves for the dress-ups, and for my Barbie-loving girls - a pack of four Barbies and clothes! Bonus!

Grabbed a lovely cane basket to keep the dolls in too.

Total cost $20.75.

Sorry about the blurry pic - dropped camera only works sometimes. :(

Out and About

Seeing as the weather was a bit doubtful yesterday, I took the girls to an indoor playcenter. It's probably the furtherest one from our house (50 mins) but the best in terms of catering for the ages of kids I was taking. Well it used to be a great place, but the service yesterday in the cafeteria was shocking to say the least. Oh well, ended up getting our entire lunch for free when I complained to the manager.
Despite this the girls had a fantastic time, although my camera was dropped a couple of days ago, and is not going too well.

A day out

Today we went to Fremantle, as we hadn't been there in ages.

Here's what Wikipedia has to say about it:

Fremantle is a port city in Western Australia, located 19 'km's southwest of Perth, the state capital, at the mouth of the Swan River on Australia's western coast. It was the first settlement of the Swan River Colonists in 1829. It was declared a city in 1929, and has a population of approximately 26,000.
The city is named after Charles Fremantle, the English naval officer who had pronounced possession of Western Australia and who established the camp at the site. The city contains well preserved buildings and other heritage sites. The Western Australian vernacular diminutive for Fremantle is "Freo"

Rain, Birthday Wishes and Car Shopping!

We woke this morning to pouring rain. Hip Hip Hooray. Good solid rain. We need it. The girls think it's a bot of a novelty. It's a good day to snuggle up with a good book. Or watch a good movie. Will get back to do that a bit later this afternoon.

It's my birthday today. Another year older. So far I've had a good morning, it's still only early yet (for a Saturday!) so I'm sure the day will only get better and better. :)
I love birthdays!

We are off to update our old car today. We are going to get a bit wet I think, but it's the only day we've been able to go for most of the year. With Phil away so much it's today or wait another few weeks. I'm not so sure my old car will last too much longer.
Will let you know what we decide on.

Ok, so this is what we got! I love it! So roomy. Now when we all go out we can take one car instead of two!
Hooray for new cars!

What's been happening in our world

Ella draw this delightful picture for me a few nights ago. Her favourite thing to draw at the mo is hearts. Many many love hearts. So sweet.

The girls helped make bacon and eggs for breaky on Sunday morning.

Lots of colouring-in took place at our house over the weekend. It's a lovely cooler weather activity.

Kate helping to paint the dining room. Just need to find some art for the walls now, then I'll post a pic.

Shoe shopping tonight. Or rather boot shopping for the little ladies of the house. When I went to check on the girls, this is what I found. Isn't she cute in her new boots? Now to just try and get them off her feet without waking her.
