A day out

Today we went to Fremantle, as we hadn't been there in ages.

Here's what Wikipedia has to say about it:

Fremantle is a port city in Western Australia, located 19 'km's southwest of Perth, the state capital, at the mouth of the Swan River on Australia's western coast. It was the first settlement of the Swan River Colonists in 1829. It was declared a city in 1929, and has a population of approximately 26,000.
The city is named after Charles Fremantle, the English naval officer who had pronounced possession of Western Australia and who established the camp at the site. The city contains well preserved buildings and other heritage sites. The Western Australian vernacular diminutive for Fremantle is "Freo"

Enjoying an ice cream in the sun

What a face

Of course, on every outing a swing is a must!

Once a monkey, always a monkey

A boat show for the enthusiastic

Too cold for a paddle today

A peaceful view

Off for a play

Waiting for food to appear upon the rooftop a McDonalds

Ahhh ...dinnertime!

The boat harbour

The prison at night

Ah Freo markets - that brings back some great memories. I still have a gorgeous windchime from there - it's got a really deep tone to it. It hangs outside our bedroom windows. Probably more info than you needed to know lol.
