Camping 2012 - 2013

We are back from Busselton (3hrs south of Perth) after our camping trip. We sweltered through a heatwave which started before Christmas and was the hottest on record since 1942. The tent was not pleasant, but surprisingly the kids never once complained as the temps soared into the 40's.  Amie and her gang arrived the day after us and left the day before us. It was lovely camping with them, and we missed them when they left. Hopefully this will become a tradition. Jonah was a good age to start camping and loved every second, although he was totally shattered after 5 days.

We didn't do alot this trip (all the sight seeing we did when we were there 3 years ago) it was too hot. The kids were the most happy in the pool, so it was easy to entertain them.

Here are some pics from our holiday!

The pool was a welcome relief many times a day
Kate, Jonah and I walked the 15mins to the beach in hot weather for a dip

Pennyboards were a popular Christmas present!

Jonah fell asleep just before they went home (10am!) It wasn't cold but he wanted a blanket on!
We went to the Busselton Trots on our last night
This little girl won the pony trots! Gorgeous!
Ella, Emma, Abbey and Kate. Good friends that we met 3 yrs ago, and this time camped right next to! It doesn't get any better than this when you are a kid!
