Happy Christmas 2014

The day started early. 5am to be precise. But it's well and truly daylight then (4:40am) The Cat was up. The day began. The girls' opened their stockings (Father Christmas did well) and looked through their hauls for awhile while I let the chickens out, cut up the guinea pig food, and fed and watered all the animals. And had a cuppa. We then opened the gifts under the tree to each other. I got some lovely gifts. The girls had put alot of thought into it, and remembered what I had suggested over the last couple of months. We headed off to Amie's late morning for lunch and to relax. We all had a great day and came home very tired. The kids fell asleep on the way home!
Here are some pics from our day!

Ruby is TEN and an Early Christmas celebration!

Our granddaughter Ruby, turned 10 on Sunday, but we didn't get to see her then as she was competing in a gymnastics competition. So we celebrated this milestone with her today as well as having our Christmas number one, as Phil flies back to site tomorrow for work. The weather was perfect, the kids all played nicely together, the food was delicious. A very relaxing and low-key day. Just the way we like it.
TEN years old - just beautiful
Our very yummy BBQ lunch
There is always a trick or two involved
birthday pavlova :)

I got this lovely chair for Christmas from Phil (and the girls!)

Gordon and the Tree

Every night after he has had his dinner, Gordon sits under the Christmas tree, has a big wash and then falls fast asleep until I go to bed, then he follows me to bed. He is going to get a bit of a shock tonight when the tree isn't there. It has to be put away sometime and today is the day!

A Cherry Merry Christmas!

The girls' woke us early today - 4:50am.I am guessing there won't be many more years of early wakings from excited kids, so I am happy to indulge in them for now. It's been a quiet relaxing day, just the four of us until lunchtime then Amie, Brendan, Ruby and Jonah joined us for lunch and the afternoon. As you can see from the photos, the kids got some great gifts and had a fabulous day!
