INTRODUCING OUR NEW HENS, GINEVRA & SUSAN
We purchased these lovely girls of a man about 20 minutes from home. We have been wanting a Light Sussex for awhile now, and he was also selling some Rhode Island Reds, so we got one so they can have each other for company, which is important when joining an existing flock.
Ella named the Sussex Susan (Suzie) and Kate named the RIR Ginevra, after the witch in Harry Potter.
I hope they settle in well.

Kate - Camp
Kate was away last week with her friends on the Year Nine camp 4 hours south from Perth. She had a fabulous time pushing herself to new heights and trying new things. She loved the whole experience, and as you can tell by these photos she sent me, the weather was gorgeous for nearly the middle of Winter! She even loved the food! I missed her terribly though, it's the longest she's been away from me. She came home on Friday very tired and dirty but happy!

Happy Birthday Kate
It's hard to believe this beautiful young lady turned fourteen today! Where did those 14 years go? We celebrated with dinner out at a Japenese restaurant, which was really delicious. Birthday party during the holidays.
Happy Birthday beautiful girl,
We love you to the moon and back!

MUFFIN
We have a sick chook at the moment, hanging out with Gordon in his outside bed. Lucky they all get along fine and Gordon is happy to share!

FRESH FLOWERS IN THE HOUSE
I discovered a lovely man on a side road that sells the most gorgeous bunches of fresh flowers for a very reasonable price. The colours are just stunning, the fragrant smell divine.
I bought a few mixed bunches, mainly because I couldn't decide, and also because it's nice to support the small business.
As long as I can remember, I have love carnations. The small of these is very strong, especially the red one. I will definitely buy these again.
I also got these gorgeous ones! Loving all the colours and smells in my house right now.

Lest We Forget.
Kate and Phil attended the Dawn Service at the Kalamunda War Memorial this morning. So proud of Kate for suggesting it and for getting out of bed in the cold. We will remember them.

Girls' in the City
With the end of the school holidays fast approaching, and seeing I have worked long hours all the way through, I let the girls' decide what to do today. They chose the City for some shopping and sights. On the way home. we stopped at the South Perth Foreshore which was very busy with walkers, runners, cyclists and families playing with balls and dogs!
Stunning blue sky against architecture |
The autumn leaves were stunning |
Beautiful old church |
My favourite - London Court |
The girls' loved this chocolate set! |
