Day One & Two - DISNEYLAND

The girls' had been waiting a very long time to go to Disneyland. They were very excited when we arrived. It rained on and off the first day and the second was heavy rain, thunder and lightning. But the blessing was, the crowds were down so the queues were short. The girls' never complained about the rain, they were just so happy to be there.

On the bus from the hotel to Disneyland
Yay! We are finally here!
I thought the statues were really cool
Waiting for the gates to open
Walking down main Street, the crowds were down.
Sleeping Beauty and the Prince arrive
First purchases of the day
Riding the beautiful carousel
Umbrellas were a must!
Riding on Dumbo
The girls were lucky to get one ride on each attraction in Toy Storyland as the weather meant there wasn't another opportunity
The R C Racer was a huge hit!
I loved "It's a small World" My kind of ride!
Lining up for a photo with Minnie was the longest queue - 5 minutes!!!
The ONE Ella had been desperate to have a photo with
On to Pluto!
And then Pinocchio
Tarzans House was a favourite
Due to the weather, the parade was the rainy day express train

HONG KONG 2012

Well we are back from a most wonderful place in the World. I've come back pretty sick, but hopefully it will be short-lived now I'm home and can rest. Fortunately, I got sick on our last night, so it only ruined our last day a bit.

I have so many photos, so there will be lots to look at. When I'm feeling better, I'll come back and add some text.

Ella took the photos coming into HK.

Pretty China

When Mum came over, she brought with her these four cup and saucer sets with her for me. I remember fondly as a little girl, the teacups came out when we had visitors. Mum got them all for her 21st birthday from various people. I think they are really beautiful, something that I will treasure always.

The last lunch

We popped out for a drive through the Swan Valley before going to the airport stopping at this gorgeous tea rooms for lunch. It was such a nice day at 26deg, we chose to sit outside.

We are all feeling a bit sad tonight and the house feels very empty and quiet. Ella has gone for a sleep-over with Ruby, so it's just Kate and I.
The hardest part about having visitors is the goodbyes :(

Last Day

Tonight my family fly back to NZ. We've had a lovely time, leaving us all pretty exhausted. The girls are looking forward to getting their rooms back. I'll miss my sister who has been my cleaning and organizing fairy. We had tea out last night at the kids favourite restaurant - Sizzler. I had some time to myself in the afternoon (once again thanks to my sister!) so I got my hair done. Otherwise we've been out and about seeing the sights and drinking numerous cups of tea!
